(TBD) Isleta Runner Randonnée 250km (Paris-Brest-Paris Prep 2027) @ Zia Rail Runner Station
May 9 @ 6:30 am – 8:00 pm

Here we go again; another round of the Isleta Runner Randonnée 250km, a ride from Santa Fe to Isleta Pueblo, NM, culminating in catching the NM Rail Runner back to Santa Fe. Heading north from the Zia Road Rail Runner Station to Los Alamos, skirting the breath-taking open fields of the Valles Caldera National Preserve, enjoying the eye-catching red rocks of Jemez Pueblo, flying south from San Ysidro on NM550 to Bernalillo to catch some sustenance at Bosque Brewing North Turquoise Desert Taproom before boarding one of several planned locomotives. If we have made good time and folks are motivated, we will try for some more kilometers to catch the train in Isleta Pueblo.

Riders should be arriving at the Zia Road Rail Runner Train Station around 6:15am. Departure time from the Zia Road Rail Runner Station will be on Saturday, May 9th, 2026 at 6:30am as we will have 13.5hrs. to complete the full randonnée. (Departure time may begin a little earlier if riders feel that may better.) Multiple *ReSupply Stops will be available along the route, but time spent at stops will be limited as we will have to maintain an average of tempo speed of about ~19.23km/hr (~11.95mi/hr) to get to final station at the Isleta Pueblo Rail Runner Station by 8:00pm.

FRONT & REAR LIGHTS, as well as tubes and pumps (etc…) are recommended as we will be riding into the evening as the night sky will be upon us. *We will be passing many stops for food/water, but it would be advised to bring your money, burritos, meal replacements, electrolytes, etc. to compensate for some areas. While the randonnée will be a no-drop ride, please be aware that riders who are attempting to complete the full route will have to maintain a certain pace to finish the ride. Riders may be satisfied with a shorter ride such as reaching Bernalillo during the first leg of the randonnée. There will also be other NM Rail Runner stops to rely as well. **Please refer to train arrival times at stations below.

Of course, please be aware that this is a fully self-supported ride for your personal enjoyment and is taken at your own risk! If you feel that you may be limited in your abilities to complete the ride, make sure to have someone ready to pick you up along the route as this ride is dependent that we back to Santa Fe in due time (an earlier train departs from the Sandoval County/US 550 RailRunner Station at 6:52pm, at the earliest).

Sirius Cycles WILL ASSUME NO RESPONSIBILITY for any mishaps or accidents during this ride. Riders may reconsider participating if there is heavy weather/very strong winds present on the day.
