Mekseb Debesay (BHM)

 

In recognition of Black History Month, Sirius Cycles will be featuring cyclists of color for the month of February.

 

Born: June 16, 1991
Height: 5ft. 11-1/2in. (1.82m)
Hometown: Asmara, Eritrea

Mekseb Debesay is an Eritrean road racing cyclist. He rode at the 2014 UCI Road World Championships, as well as the 2015 UCI Road World Championships, where he was the only rider from Eritrea to compete in the men’s elite road race. For the 2016 and 2017 road racing season, he will be riding for the Pro Tour team, Team Dimension Data.
